The transition is where decks fail
Deck and hardscape are the two trades most often hired separately, and the two most likely to blame each other when the step heights don't work or water pools where they meet.
We set both. Elevations planned together, drainage planned once, one crew responsible for the seam. It sounds like a small thing until you've watched two contractors argue about a two-inch discrepancy while your yard sits open.

A straightforward deck typically starts around $18,000–30,000. Multi-level, covered, or hardwood decks with integrated lighting generally run $35,000–75,000.
